Very often, the firefox or IE do not update to the latest CSS regardless of how many times you re-load, reflesh or clear the cache of your browers.

Actually the solution is very simple. Instead of clicking the reflesh button, press down your control key and reflesh, then it will trigger a CSS reload. Alternatively, you can also use ctrl-F5.

Wordpress 2.6 is released on the 15 July. Over the last few days, I have updated the WP to version 2.6 for most of my clients. Version 2.6 is actually not a major revision as compared to version 2.5. The backend still looks pretty much the same. Among the new features of Wordpress 2.6, the key one is the “Turbo” which allows users to cache common files like stylesheets and scripts to their own computers. This can significantly speed up loading and operation times of Wordpress. Turbo is actually leveraging on Google Gear technology that allows for Firefox to “pre-cache” pages and speed up access. To enable Gears in your new WordPress 2.6 installation, click on the Turbo link in the upper right corner of your WordPress admin.

For updating the Wordpress, it is recommended to use the automatic update plugin. The plugin follows obediently the recommended 5 steps upgrade protocol.
